Lihenium: Scan PDF & Vault

This Privacy Policy explains how Lihenium Studio handles information when you use Lihenium: Scan PDF & Vault (the “App”). The App is designed primarily as a local-first document utility, so most scanning, editing, OCR, vault protection, and file management happen on your device unless you choose to use optional online services.

Google Sign-In and Google Drive backup are optional. Most core document features can be used without signing in.

Limited third-party use

1. Who We Are

App: Lihenium: Scan PDF & Vault
Publisher: Lihenium Studio
Country: India
Contact: lihenium.app@gmail.com

In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Lihenium Studio.

2. Information We Handle

2.1 Content you create or import

  • Scanned pages, imported images, PDFs, OCR text, edited files, exports, and file metadata.
  • Vault content and vault-related local settings used to protect your private files.
  • Files you intentionally open through the camera, Android file picker, share sheet, or supported import flows.

2.2 Optional account information

If you choose to sign in with Google, the App may access and locally store basic account details such as your email address, display name, profile picture, and Google account identifier so that optional account-based features can work properly.

2.3 App settings and technical state

  • Theme, language, file preferences, app lock settings, and related local configuration.
  • Backup state, restore state, processing status, and other technical data needed to run features you request.

2.4 Diagnostics, purchases, and advertising data

If these services are enabled in your version of the App, we may receive limited technical or status data from third-party providers such as Google Play Billing, Google Mobile Ads, and Firebase Crashlytics.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide scanning, OCR, PDF tools, document organization, secure vault, export, and related file features.
  • To save, restore, back up, and manage your files when you choose those actions.
  • To support optional sign-in and Google Drive backup features.
  • To verify premium purchases or subscription entitlements handled through Google Play.
  • To improve reliability, investigate crashes, and respond to support requests.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect users, the App, and third-party services from misuse.
We do not operate our own document-processing server for the App’s core scanning and editing functions. Most core processing is intended to happen locally on your device.

4. Local Processing and Storage

Lihenium is designed primarily as a local-first app. In normal use, your scans, PDFs, OCR output, vault files, previews, and edits remain on your device or in storage locations that you choose.

  • Most document processing and file handling occur on-device.
  • Backups are only created when you actively choose to use backup or restore features.
  • Files may leave your device only when you explicitly export, share, print, email, or back them up.
Please keep your device, vault passcode, PIN, and recovery details secure. If you lose access credentials, some protected content may become inaccessible.
