This Privacy Policy explains how Lihenium Studio handles information when you use Lihenium: Scan PDF & Vault (the “App”). The App is designed primarily as a local-first document utility, so most scanning, editing, OCR, vault protection, and file management happen on your device unless you choose to use optional online services.

You can manage permissions, sign out, delete local files, remove backups, and uninstall the App whenever you want.

If you choose to sign in with Google, the App may access and locally store basic account details such as your email address, display name, profile picture, and Google account identifier so that optional account-based features can work properly.
If these services are enabled in your version of the App, we may receive limited technical or status data from third-party providers such as Google Play Billing, Google Mobile Ads, and Firebase Crashlytics.
Lihenium is designed primarily as a local-first app. In normal use, your scans, PDFs, OCR output, vault files, previews, and edits remain on your device or in storage locations that you choose.
The permissions requested may vary depending on Android version and the features you choose to use.
Google Sign-In is optional. If you choose to use it, the App may locally keep basic account information so it can maintain your sign-in state and enable account-based features.
If you enable backup or restore, the App may use Google Drive’s hidden appDataFolder area for
app-specific backup storage. Backups are created only when you choose to use those features.
The App may use ML-based features for OCR, translation, scanning assistance, language identification, or QR-related functionality. These features are generally intended to work on-device, although some models or supporting components may need to be downloaded.
Depending on what is enabled in your app build, Google Mobile Ads, Google Play Billing, or Firebase Crashlytics may process limited technical data, billing status, crash reports, or advertising-related information under their own policies.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect information handled by the App. This includes local storage protections, Android security features, optional vault protections, and the security controls offered by platform providers that support the App.
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a way that is intended to target or profile them. If you believe a child has provided personal information in a way that requires deletion or parental action, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, platform rules, or third-party services. When we make updates, we will revise the effective or updated date on this page and publish the latest version at the active policy URL.
